Prayer + human trafficking
A key theme to Restore One is the importance of prayer, as modeled by Nehemiah. Nehemiah was a trusted servant to the king of Persia. When he learned that his people back in Jerusalem were living in despair and ruins, he was brokenhearted. He wept and he grieved deeply. Then he took action. He prayed. He asked God to restore his people. He focused on God and depended on God for guidance and provision. Throughout the rebuilding process, Nehemiah anchored himself in prayer and relied on God's promises. Nehemiah was a man of prayer. In the midst of all opposition Nehemiah never stopped praying. He trusted in God's power and mercy, proclaiming "The joy of the Lord is my strength."

The Foundation
Prayer is the foundation of Restore One. We seek to make prayer integral to every aspect of our ministry, knowing it is Christ's power not ours that is at work to bring healing and restoration. It is His light that dispels the darkness. "Trust the Lord completely, and don’t depend on your own knowledge. With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way".

The War
We live in the midst of a spiritual war. In Ephesians 6, Paul writes that, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” This call to recognize the fight for freedom, not as a physical endeavor but a spiritual war, is a driving force of Restore One’s prayer ministry. Prayer is about stepping into our God-given roles as warriors of light, putting on the full armor of God, and speaking with authority over the kingdom of darkness to bring life and freedom.
The Victory
God moves in powerful ways to answer the prayers of his people. At the cross, Jesus was victorious over darkness and death. All authority on heaven and earth is His. We give God praise, glory and honor. We consider praying for others both a great honor and privilege.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.”
