Final Announcement — 7/19/19

Romans 8:28 – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Restore One Friends and Family,

Since our announcement in May to close Restore One and The Anchor House, we have been fielding inquiries and applications from various organizations from across the country to receive the property.  As a nonprofit, we must give the assets of Restore One to another nonprofit.  After receiving applications from over two dozen such organizations, the Restore One Board heard presentations this week from the top 5 candidates, and after prayerful deliberation and discussion, we have decided unanimously to gift the property and any remaining assets to Cry Freedom Missions in Goldsboro.  Cry Freedom intends to use the property as an emergency safe home for sexually exploited and trafficked victims.  It was not an easy decision as many of the other organizations also presented a compelling vision for the property and the heart of God in their mission.  Cry Freedom’s was, however, the most compelling.  We encourage everyone to check out their ministry (see the link below) and consider partnering with them as they expand their fight against sex trafficking on this property. The most important thing you can do, of course, is to pray for Cry Freedom as they take their next steps to implement their program on the property and for the lives that will be transformed as a result of this ministry.  May the victims be found, and may they be willing to step into health and recovery.

Restore One will be busy winding down our affairs and dissolving the nonprofit in the weeks ahead.  This website and all Restore One e-mail addresses will be made inactive after July 31st.  So, this is our last opportunity to thank you for your support and encouragement you have given to us over the years.  God continues to be in charge, and we are certain that Cry Freedom will use the property well in the fight against trafficking.  The verse from Romans 8 above never seemed more appropriate than today!

God bless,

Mike Eggleston
